Guided by the Electronic Department, Science and Technology Department and Equipment Department of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the "2014 Annual Conference and Outcome Exhibition of China's Super Capacitor Industry" was held in Beijing from December 16 to 17. More than 200 representatives of relevant government departments, key enterprises, research institutes and industry experts participated. Peng Hongbing, deputy director of the Electronic Information Department of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, Han Jun inspector of the Department of Science and Technology, Hu Yan, president of the China Association of Standardization Technology for Electronic Industry, Zhang Hongtu, deputy director of the China Institute of Standardization for Electronic Technology, and relevant leaders of the Industry Department of the State Standards Committee and the Systems Division of the National Defense Science and Technology Bureau attended the meeting.

Chen Liquan, academician of the National Academy of Engineering, was invited to give the theme report of the annual meeting. Hundreds of enterprises, institutions and research institutes from upstream and downstream of supercapacitor industry at home and abroad participated in the meeting. Delegates at the meeting unanimously appealed to the relevant departments of the state to strengthen the overall planning for the development of the supercapacitor industry. At the same time, they called on the industry to enhance exchanges and cooperation, continue to promote technological innovation and industrial application, and work together to promote the vigorous development of the industry.

During the meeting, relevant enterprises and institutions jointly issued an initiative to prepare for the establishment of a national supercapacitor industry organization. Based on the Working Group on Super Capacitor Standards, China Super Capacitor Industry Alliance will be formally launched to further accelerate the sustained and healthy development of China's supercapacitor industry.
